Visiting your dentist
There is no doubt that a person’s smile is one of the most noticeable features of their face. For this reason it is absolutely essential to visit your dentist in Plymouth on a regular six-monthly basis to ensure that your teeth are in the best condition that they can be. By visiting us at Meavy Way Dental Practice regularly, you can be confident that your teeth are being looked after by our excellent team of experienced dentists and hygienists and any potential problems can be taken care of before they worsen. We are a family-run business so we value the importance of building relationships with our patients and ensuring that every patient has a comfortable experience when visiting our practice. We offer a wide range of services ranging from children’s dentistry to facial aesthetics for both NHS patients and private clients.
The services we offer
We have a vast range of services that we offer at Meavy Way Dental Practice; we have separated our services into the five following categories: general dentistry, preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. Our dentist in Plymouth carries out all the services on offer so that our patients can be certain that they are in safe hands. While our priority is to ensure that we carry out preventive measures on our patients and reduce the chances of infection or disease, we also understand that a lot of people are interested in enhancing and improving the overall appearance of their teeth, so we offer various cosmetic dentistry procedures. All our services have a pre-treatment consultation where our dentist will guide you on the best course of action to take, in order to ensure that you make an informed decision before going ahead with any cosmetic procedure.
What is CEREC?
We understand that a lot of people are too busy to repeatedly come in for appointments in order to have dental treatment, so we have introduced a futuristic machine called CEREC which has the ability to produce permanent crowns, onlays and veneers during the course of one appointment. CEREC provides lifelong benefits by restoring and supporting the tooth structure, and the speed of the process means you do not have to wear temporary fittings.
Dental phobia and what we do to help manage it
We understand that a lot of people are afraid or nervous about visiting the dentist. Dental phobia is a very common fear and so our dentist in Plymouth offers two sedation options in order to ease your visit and make it as comfortable for you as possible. The two forms of sedation we offer here at our practice are intravenous sedation and inhalation sedation for those who have a fear of needles. It is important to note that a person remains awake during inhalation sedation however it is designed to relax the patient completely, so that they are not afraid or nervous during the procedure. Our team is specially trained to carry out the sedation process and provide each patient with a detailed explanation of what to expect and how the sedation is carried out.
Here at Meavy Way Dental Practice we value our patients’ satisfaction and confidence and do everything we can to make sure your smile always looks its very best.
